As a Jehovah's Witness, I grew up realizing that there was so much I could not do, celebrate or get involved in, that i just stopped asking.
I never really had an interest in tattoos until my adult life. I am still a huge martial arts fan and many mixed martial artists and freethinkers wear their tattoos with pride. I got my 1st and only tattoo in my 30s (very late) I intend to get quite a bit more over the years.
I am not a fan of big and elaborate tattoos. I like artwork that is full of meaning, ranging from minimalist to subtly striking. that is not to say i would never get an entire arm or leg tattooed.
I have a tattoo reflective of my family's battles with addiction. It also symbolises my internal struggle to pick up the pieces and go forward no matter what knocks me down.Do you have a tattoo/s? What do they mean to you?
